Two (2) Full-Time Case Worker Positions

Gallia County Children Services is presently accepting résumés in consideration for two full-time caseworker positions currently available at the agency.

One of the casework positions will be as a Child Protective Services worker, whose role would primarily be to investigate reports of abuse/neglect regarding children in Gallia County. 

The other casework position will be a Foster Care and Adoption worker.  This position will be primarily responsible for working with children in foster placements, recruiting and working with foster parents, arranging and supervising visitations, and working on adoption services as required. 

It is expected that the employees will have frequent interaction with the general public, clients and their families, law enforcement, State and local child support agencies, State agencies and departments, the judicial system, and other social service agencies and professionals.   

This posting is for a full-time, forty-hour week position and provides fringe benefits—including life, health, dental, & vision insurance, paid vacation, personal days, accrued sick leave, and retirement. The starting pay rate will be $16.30 an hour. 

Ideally, the successful applicant should have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a Human/Social Services related field.  A LSW is preferred.

Gallia County has received a National Emergency Grant for clean-up and debris removal of public lands, resulting from the heavy rains and flooding from spring 2018. This grant allows for the hiring of temporary workers for the purpose. Please do not call or stop in to ask about your applications status.
