The Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Unclaimed Funds is responsible
for the collection, safekeeping, and return of lost or forgotten accounts of
owners whose last known address was in Ohio. Once a year the Division publishes
in a newspaper of each county the names of all persons whose unclaimed accounts
valued at $50 or more were received by the Division in the past year.
As of March 8, 1999, $141,870.71 has been successfully reclaimed from the
Division by current or former residents of Gallia County. The sum of $201,452.51
is the financial value attached to the accounts still on Gallia County's list.
