Building Permit Information

There are no Building Codes, Zoning or Building Permits in the UNINCORPORATED area of the County other than Floodplain Regulations and Subdivision Regulations if applicable. (If you live in a Village or City you must contact the officials within that jurisdiction and abide by their ordinances.)

You are however, required to notify the Auditor’s Office of any construction by completing a Building NOTICE. This is NOT considered a permit, only a notification for tax purposes. According to the Ohio Revised Code 5713.17, this is required within 60 days of the start of construction and must be submitted to the Auditor’s Office in the Courthouse.

Sewage Permits are required by the Health Department @ 441-2018
